Busy Few Weeks

Well, its been chaos here at Mynwood headquarters! Loads of customers both new and returning have ordered their jackets and so we’ve been ‘flat out’ fulfilling those along with our already busy lives.

We’ve had a mixture of weather as usual for the UK so managed to do quite a lot in the garden and house. We’ve redecorated our lounge and painted skirting and doors along with repainting outdoor furniture and fencing.

Sadly in June we lost my Granny, she had been in a nursing home for the past 17 years with dementia and at 99 she sadly gave in and closed her beautiful eyes for the last time. During this sad time we took our motorhome and went to stay at my mum and dads in yorkshire to attend the funeral and help them along with vistit other family members too. We stayed from the tuesday and came home on the saturday to minimise the effect on my customers, leaving Jorgia (our daughter) in charge. We returned to our bonnie scotland and got straight to work.

A few weeks passed and we continued as usual to fulfill orders in breakneck speed along with decorating and gardening. Dale is now busy with woodturning in his workshop producing his masterpieces that seem very popular and selling through his facebook pages https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=the%20highland%20woodturner, below are some of his creations using drift wood from the shores of Loch Ewe and also some bowls.

Mid August we had one of my sisters visit us. She stayed a few days so we packed in as much as we could. Visiting local beaches and lochs and also Ullapool and a meal out. It was lovely to see her and make a fuss of her too. Once she’d gone home, again, we set forth and refilled my stock cupboard (which I’m still working on!). Ive also been very busy making up some limited edition jackets to add to my website, they seem very popular and are now listed on the sales and limited stock page on the ordering section of the website. Some pictures are added below.

Today we are having a carpet fitted to our living room so once thats finished I shall be putting our living room back together.

Tomorrow 1st September we will be out early to take Red, our Dogue de Bordeaux for spaying. This will be a full day job as our nearest vets are 1 hour and 20 minutes away so not worth coming home - we may as well wait for her. Maybe do a little fabric shopping in Inverness!
